Public bug reported: Running Firefox 3.0.6 (Cannonical 1.0) on a newly installed Ubuntu 8.10, with full upgrade and update.
When trying to play a movie in Youtube there is a pause then the whole of the Firefox, client display, greys over. Having had no luck I tried various non-free Flash Plugins Firstly 'sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree' via command line, when that didn't work I uninstalled it and then tried the Macromedia one, via 'Add/Remove Programs' in Ubuntu, but none work. Also Firefox does not work with movies on www.stuff.tv and www.megawhat.tv On these two sites however, Firefox does not freeze but the movies just don't play.
