as a different issue, I have recently bought a Dell Vospera 420 - Intel Quad Processor (9600), Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT and 4GB RAm - but the Ubuntu disk simply refused to load beyond the initial install screen - and there were multiple beeps from the computer. Is it possible to run Ubuntu?
