Binary package hint: xterm
Some years ago I reported a bug about the focus indicator on the xterm
cursor getting stuck in the focused position in a non-focused window,
and it got fixed, but never entirely. I still sometimes get cases where
the cursor box is "filled in" when the window does not have focus.
After the fix some years ago it is much rarer, but it still happens, and
still annoys me.
Well, I just finally figured out how to reproduce it in its current
form:
1) Keep 3 windows open, two of which are xterms.
2) Have focus on the non-xterm window while positioning the mouse over one of
the xterm windows.
3) Alt-tab between the non-xterm window and the xterm window your mouse pointer
is not hovering over.
4) While alt-tabbing between those two windows, you will notice that while
you're still holding alt(-tab) down, the cursor box in the xterm the mouse
hovers over fills in. It goes away when you release alt, but:
5) While still holding alt down, move the mouse out from the xterm it's over,
then release alt. Voilà, the filled cursor sticks.
