Ubuntu intrepid ibex 8.10 Out of the box mms wmv streaming does not work. Firefox will search for suitable codecs. After installation (2 rounds, forst "bad" gstreamer codecs and then 2 additional gstramer codec packs) the stream will play but the it is jerky. Ie stream will play fluently about 0.3 sec and then halt for a 0.05 sec or something like that.

(At least it worked once for me.) Unfortunatelly in my experience this does not provide 100% reliable mms wmv streaming.
