It seems that upstream has a newer 0.14.2 release that builds as-is, if
the single patch in debian/patches/ is removed and the rest of the
debian folder is kept as-is.

However, it seems that simply retooling this source package against 2.6
would fix it; the key seems to be to acquire a ./configure that also
checks for python2.6 in addition to older releases.
