Same problem here (Hardy). Python2.5 version 2.5.2-2ubuntu5 is installed and there isn't the corresponding version of python-dev (latest version is 2.5.2-2ubuntu4.1). I did try to "Force version 2.5.2-2ubuntu4.1" on python2.5 but it didn't work.
