This prevents my GSM modem from working.

ppd connects (got ip and DNS) and after a while NetworkManager kill
everything saying

NetworkManager: <WARN>  pppd_timed_out(): Looks like pppd didn't
initialize our dbus module

In auth.log I do find this:

dbus-daemon: Rejected send message, 7 matched rules; type="method_call",
sender=":1.44" (uid=0 pid=4689 comm="/usr/sbin/pppd nodetach lock
nodefaultroute user t") interface="org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.PPP"
member="SetState" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0
destination="org.freedesktop.NetworkManager" (uid=0 pid=3706
comm="/usr/sbin/NetworkManager --pid-file /var/run/Netwo"))

So, it seems there is a permission problem....

I DO hate dbus....
