Installing linux-restricted-modules-2.6.27-13-generic did the trick.

Prior to this, i had linux-restricted-modules-common installed as well
as linux-restricted-modules-2.6.27-11 (and lower)

linux-restricted-modules-x (x=12, 13) didn't get installed
automatically, like in the previous versions. Installing the package
manually helped getting my wifi back.

I do not know why, perhaps i am missing some packages that should take
care of the automatism?
