** Attachment added: "/etc/pam.d/common-auth" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/23592194/common-auth
** Description changed: New install of Ubuntu Jaunty (alpha 5) amd-64 version on Thinkpad X61s. Installed thinkfinger from repositories, added fingerprint using tf-tool and set up pam using pam-thinkfinger-enable script. Now prompt changed to 'password or swipe finger' on gdm and in terminal, but nothing happens on swiping. I thought this might be same as previously reported Bug #256429. But carriage returns in no output (not authenticated, but no error message). Here is a sample session - please note that tf-tool verifies the fingerprint correctly. ------------------------------------------------------------ r...@tp:$ sudo ls - Password or swipe finger: + Password or swipe finger: #(swiped here, then pressed enter) r...@tp:sudo ls Password or swipe finger: 50magit.el autom4te.cache configure fdl.texi magit.elc Makefile.am README aclocal.m4 ChangeLog configure.ac INSTALL magit.info Makefile.in test r...@tp:$ dmesg | tail -5 [14297.661430] wlan0: associate with AP 00:13:46:16:26:ea [14297.665398] wlan0: RX AssocResp from 00:13:46:16:26:ea (capab=0x431 status=0 aid=6) [14297.665405] wlan0: associated [21716.114794] input: Virtual ThinkFinger Keyboard as /devices/virtual/input/input21 [21733.471588] input: Virtual ThinkFinger Keyboard as /devices/virtual/input/input22 r...@tp:$ tf-tool --verify ThinkFinger 0.3 (http://thinkfinger.sourceforge.net/) Copyright (C) 2006, 2007 Timo Hoenig <thoe...@suse.de> Initializing... done.
