** Description changed:

New install of Ubuntu Jaunty (alpha 5) amd-64 version on Thinkpad X61s.

Installed thinkfinger from repositories, added fingerprint using tf-tool and
set up pam using pam-thinkfinger-enable script.
Now prompt changed to 'password or swipe finger' on gdm and in terminal, but
nothing happens on swiping. I thought this might be same as previously reported
Bug #256429. But carriage returns in no output (not authenticated, but no error
message). Here is a sample session - please note that tf-tool verifies the
fingerprint correctly.

Please swipe your finger (successful swipes 1/1, failed swipes: 0)... done.
  Result: Fingerprint does match.

I am attaching my /etc/pam.d/common-auth. Will be happy to provide any
