Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
This bug report is similar to bug #278318 . The difference is that that bug was asking people switch from textured video to video overlay. The G45 doesn't have an overlay mode - the switch from textured video simply isn't possible. This bug is being worked on upstream here: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=19635 A patch was committed upstream on about the 6th of March which purports to solve this problem.
