Still reproducable in Intrepid.

Steps to reproduce:
1. go to network-manager by right-clicking the network-manager icon
2. click 'edit connections'
3. choose auto eth0 or whatever your wired connection is
4. edit, then go to ip4 setings
5. Change DHCP to manual
6. Enter a fixed ip addres, netmask and gateway.
7. close, check if the ip changed
8. reboot
9. you will see that network-manager reverted the wired connection back to dhcp.
