Since my screen goes blank/dead so completely and so quickly when the
failure occurs, I've been looking into the possibility that one of the
Firefox addons may be giving me grief and have disabled them all. Since
doing so, with fear and trepidation, I went over to the Yahoo.com home
page and encountered normal behavior. However, during my earlier
difficulties, I had no difficulties on any particular web page,
including the Yahoo.com home page, so this may be a false reading - I'm
not smart enough to know one way or the other.

Soooo, is there a way to determine the sequence of the last updates or
additions of FireFox addons? I have a lot of developer addons and
always update any that needs updating when notified. I "vaguely" recall
adding Firebug last, though I'm not certain.

I have run the hardware tests and submitted them to my launchpad account
and have ordered a new computer just in case some hardware component is
failing. I'm on the computer 10-12 hours a day so either way I should
have a backup.

If there's anything I can do from this end, to diagnose the problem if
it continues, please let me know. Thanks...
