Well these logs show that the PLL issue is solved and you now have a completely different issue: [ 1.891210] (EE) RADEON(0): Idle timed out, resetting engine... Please file a new bug, it has a good chance to get fixed if we can provide the right debug information to the upstream developers.
** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Description changed: Upgraded from 8.10 64-bit to 9.04-64 bit alpha 5, upon restart could not load GDM screen, then proceeded to error window stating that graphics driver could not be found and asked if want to boot into safe mode or configure. Selection the configure or use default options did nothing and brought back to original screen. When one selects to boot into safe mode, error message states that screen :0 was busy and whether it should look for another screen. After selecting yes, it boots into safe graphics mode and the screen resolutution is way off, to the point that I cannot do work on the computer. I tried to install ati-catalyst center64 at driver but when logged in it keeps saying that it cannot find the driver. I check proprietary drivers and the one in use but deactivated is some ati firegl drive. I tried editing xorg.conf to use the ati and radeonhd drivers, but none had an effect. I am using an ati radeon hd 3650 graphics card on a sony vaio fw290. From Xorg.0.log: Fatal server error: Couldn't find valid PLL dividers + + + The issue is fixed in upstream http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/commit/?id=592bcac52f113a95923a8f1cb8427e7552d5670b ** Tags removed: regression-potential -- [hd 3650] Couldn't find valid PLL dividers - graphics failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/336348 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
