Javier, I am now pretty confident this is not but #275998 for several reasons: a) In the original bug report of but #275998, the problem is very low volume, but not complete lack of sound input as in my case. b) In but #275998 people unanimously report problems in Intrepid. Some even say it came when Hardy was replaced by Interpid. In my case I have perfect out-of-the-box behavior in Intrepid c) The problem clearly seems to be related to Pulse. Many people got functionality back after removing Pulse. In my case the command "dpkg --get-selections | grep -i pulse" only gives one pulse-related package, "libpulse0". So probably, pulse is not installed on my system. (Does KDE 4.2.1 not use pulse?)
I have now installed pulse and switched the "audio in" in skype to "pulse", but that has not changed anything: internal microphone still does not work. -- Audio IN does not work on Dell E6400 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/339957 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
