*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 76804 ***

Public bug reported:

I'm running the Alpha-release of kubuntu feisty fawn and installed all updates.
When I try to enable DMA for my hardrives the command hdparm fails:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# hdparm /dev/hda

/dev/hda:
 multcount    = 16 (on)
 IO_support   =  0 (default 16-bit)
 unmaskirq    =  0 (off)
 using_dma    =  0 (off)
 keepsettings =  0 (off)
 readonly     =  0 (off)
 readahead    = 256 (on)
 geometry     = 16383/255/63, sectors = 39070080, start = 0
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# hdparm -q -m16 -q -W0 -q -d1 /dev/hda
 HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted

Nothing is written in dmesg

Thist happens on two of my sytsems and only in Kubuntu Feisty Fawn.
Other Kubuntu-versions works fine.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.19 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Confirmed
