I was able to work around this bug by removing all hidden files in ~/. Don't know which of them caused the bug, but those files were:.dmrc, .esd_auth, .gksu_lock, .gtk-bookmarks, .ICEauthority, .mcoprc, .mousetweaks.pid, .mtoolsrc, .pulse-cookie, .recently-used, .recently- used.xbel, .Xauthority, .xscreensaver, .xscreensaver-getimage.cache and .xsession-errors. I have backup of those, if anyone needs any of them.
