Public bug reported: I have dist-upgraded my Macbook to Feisty from Edgy and I am not able to boot anymore. My box freezes after the USB detection scripts:
usb 5-4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 4 ... I have read some forum threads and launchpad bugs about initramfs problems that are solved by downgrading this package to 0.69, but it doesn't fix my problem. It only causes the initramfs console to show up after being unable to mount the root fs. It crashes with 2.6.19-7 and 2.6.20-2 kernels and with 0.85-5 and 0.69-26 initramfs-tools. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) Importance: High Status: Needs Info -- Feisty: unbootable after dist-upgrade https://launchpad.net/bugs/77233 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
