I have exactly the same symptoms as Scrl above. Same network topology. Same host/client.
I have replaced the network card, but no change in the problem. I can stream with outany issues, but direct file sharing *always* kills the network connection at less than 4GB. Using FTP to move 4.5GB disk images lasts longer - maybe two successful transfers before the network drops, but only if I limit connections to 1.
