Public bug reported: There is an external LAN connected device which I could always connect with using networkmanager in the past. It has a static IP, and there is a router between the computer and the device.
I had a profile for this device in my cable bound connections in the networkmanager GUI. When I updated Intrepid a few weeks ago, I could not use it any more for no obvious reason. Replaced the 8.04 install by a completely new fresh Ubuntu 9.04. Made up a new profile. At first, all worked, but when I updated a few days ago, the connection could not be established any more. Strange thing is: When I right click the networkmanager icon, I can see it, but when I left click the icon, only "Autoeth0" as the only cable bound connection is offered (plus a WLAN in reach). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Jaunty, Intrepid: Since update, the "networkmanager" GUI cannot handle external ethernet / LAN device any more https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/346042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
