i m using ibex when i switched to a custom usplash i didn't got any bios warnings but the there was no graphical mode i still get the startup in the text mode .. and also one thing when i switched back to the original ubuntu startup i was not able to get it also...the default spash screen remains for a moment and then disappears...followed by a text startup
