Public bug reported:

I upgraded from intrepid to jaunty and discovered that after a suspend/resume, 
Network Manager cannot establish a wired ethernet connection. I do not know for 
sure if that happened before, because until I replaced the binary ati driver 
with the radeon one, suspend was impossible because it led to a crash.
I can reconnect only by removing and reinserting the "via_velocity" module.
