I'm not talking about the page itself, but about the feed. Just do the
following:

$ wget http://www.linuxtoday.com/biglt.rss
$ less biglt.rss

And count the number of <item> you see. There are just fifteen.

What happens with Google Reader is that it's working all the day in
Google's servers, whereas Liferea is only working when you have it
opened.

So you have 2) options: ask the linuxtoday.com folks to increment the
number of items in their feed, or to use Liferea's Google Reader
support.
