I think I can confirm this. The driver ath5k seems to be very bad in
Jaunty. System freezes regularly especially when downloading something
and if you use ping many packets get lost.

This seems to be fixed in 2.6.29 but this kernel version breaks the
suspend and the driver can't be backported so easily.
