Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

Using Jaunty and using a different resultation by executing a xrandr -o
left (or right, etc.) results in some strange artefacts around the mouse
cursor and horizontal black lines over the screen while scrolling on web
pages.

The artefacts only appear when something specific like a tab in firefox
or a window in the window list is clicked. Moving the mouse away from
this position makes the issue go away.

Graphics card is a ATI Radeon HD 3850:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RV670PRO [Radeon
HD 3850] [1002:9505]

In the attachment you will find a photograph of one the issue.
