I finally noticed something in my logs with the current version of NM that explains why I've never been able to get my connection to work as a system connection.
Mar 26 00:58:01 dario nm-system-settings: Ignorning insecure configuration file '/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Auto home- net' And why does it think it's insecure? Ah, because it's world-readable... Attached is a patch that will fix this, and also fix the misspellings of 'Ignoring'... ** Attachment added: "network-manager-allow-world-readability.patch" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24359598/network-manager-allow-world-readability.patch -- "system"-level connection doesn't start up until nm-applet is launched https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321442 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
