Firstly attached is a report, after I did the lsusb trick to get the sansa clip detected. This lists the sansa clip in the lsusb log which my previous report didn't.
lepinkäinen, I suggest you run the commands listed in comment 20 above (with correction from comment 23) and post the report file. Someone might be able to see what the problem is on your hardware.
