Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: netcfg

Attempting a clean installation of Jaunty Beta, all works fine until the
installer attempts to setup DHCP with the onboard Ethernet connection.
The setup then times out and informs me that DHCP has failed. I am then
invited to either setup the network manually or continue without.

This is a regression because DHCP has managed to configure the network
before using the alternate install in Intrepid on this system. DHCP did
work within Virtualbox on the same system.

What should have happened:

DHCP should have configured the network automatically.

What happened instead:

DHCP timeout and failed.

I am using the onboard Ethernet connection via the Marvell 88E1116 PHY
Gigabit LAN controller on my ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard.

** Affects: netcfg (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
