It also happens in 8.10 on my Eee 1000, which has an Intel GMA950 as opposed to the 701's GMA900. I hadn't realised that compiz caused it, but Jngoi is right; I just tried opening Firefox with and without compiz enabled several times. It happened zero times with compiz disabled, and all the times it was enabled. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate the problem.
It doesn't seem to do any harm (noticeably low performance unusual even for netbooks and the like), but it just looks weird, and having had a computer that did it when it was about to freeze completely, I find it rather disconcerting. ;-) ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-1.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24413179/Screenshot-1.png -- screen becomes twisted when opening firefox 3 browser after using compiz fusion https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254934 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
