Public bug reported: I am not sure whether this is a problem with nm-applet or the Network Configurartion dialog.
I am using Xubuntu 9.04 Beta with the latest updates. Every time I try to connect to my home wireless network (WEP open-type), it works fine but doesn't store my password for next time in the wallet after asking me for a wallet password like in Ubuntu. So I have to put in the WEP Hex password every time I reboot or disconnect from the wireless. If I open the Network Configuration dialog I can see "Auto Home Wireless". I clicked edit for this entry and it was set to connect automatically but the password was not in the box so I couldn't click Apply. After I input the password I can click apply and expect the settings to be saved. But when I click edit again for the "Auto Home Wireless" entry the password field is blank again. I've attached a screenshot of the "Auto Home Wireless" dialog. (P.S. I put the red parts in it.) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- (jaunty) Network Manager not storing WEP password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350103 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
