Bug seems to have been fixed. I no longer have an issue using xrandr in Jaunty Beta (updated 20080326). By the way. By the way here were the specs on the hardware/driver: Intel Mobile 915GM,GMS/910GML [8086:2592] Module: intelfb (not sure if this was the case previoustly)
