Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
After upgrading to Jaunty, Rythmbox no longer detects the Meizu MiniPlayer as a media device. Enabling the Portable Players - MTP or iPod plugin does not help. Below is the lshal -m report when the device is plugged in. Start monitoring devicelist: ------------------------------------------------- 11:23:02.363: usb_device_4e8_5a0f_000000DDDD000 added 11:23:02.393: usb_device_4e8_5a0f_000000DDDD000 property info.linux.driver = 'usb' (new) 11:23:02.415: usb_device_4e8_5a0f_000000DDDD000_if0 added 11:23:02.415: usb_device_4e8_5a0f_000000DDDD000_if0_scsi_host added 11:23:02.912: usb_device_4e8_5a0f_000000DDDD000_if0_scsi_host removed It shows up in Nautilus as "Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd MTP Device" I can read and write its files fine as a removable drive. I get the same results on 3 different computers. All 3 computers were upgraded to 9.04 from 8.10. The player was working correctly in 8.10 Upon further tinkering, The Meizu MiniPlayer works correctly if I configure its USB mode to be MSC instead of MTP If anybody else has this issue, just go to Settings -> USB Mode and set it to MSC on the MiniPlayer ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/rhythmbox NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: rhythmbox 0.12.0-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: rhythmbox Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64 ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Rythmbox cannot detect Meizu MiniPlayer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350447 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
