Public bug reported:

I use a Nexoc Osiris S621 notebook on Ubuntu Intrepid.
It seems that there is a strange but annoying "feature":
When hitting Caps-Lock key on the built in keyboard (external keyboard is
okay), all keys not only switched to their uppercase state (or whatever that
name is), but also to their Fn-equivalent (as if the Fn key is being held)

i.e. typing "fghjkl" on the keyboard results in "FGH123". Turning of
Caps-Lock again results in lowercases, but the Fn state is still on:
"fgh123". Only additionaly holding the Fn-Key will allow writing "jkl"
(so the Fn-Key acts some kind of reverse)

This must be some kind of X or Gnome thing, when switching to and back from
Console (i.e. with Ctrl-Alt-F2), the keyboard state is normal.
Also, when using an external USB keyboard, keys on the USB behave normal
(however, the USB keyboard doesn't have a Fn key)

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
