the reason for the conflict is a duplication of the whole wx files in
the python2.6 directory:
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx-2.8-gtk2-unicode/wx/__init__.py
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx-2.8-gtk2-unicode/wx/__version__.py
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx-2.8-gtk2-unicode/wx/_animate.so
[...]
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx/__init__.py
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx/__version__.py
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx/_animate.so
the latter should be removed, both in wxwidgets2.6 and wxwidgets2.8
