Hi,
I was mistaken, turning off the power management did not solve the bug - it
still freezes. However, I found that turning off the "acpi wakeup capable
device" solves the problem. In Kubuntu Intrepid, Jaunty, and even in Debian
(running now), the wireless behaves the same - it works, than it randomly fades
out and it is impossible to wake it.

So, as a solution, try disabling acpi wakeup capable devices. Install
acpitool, run "acpitool -w" to display all devices wakeup capable and
then run "acpitool -W" + number of device (shown before) to disable
wakin'up.

I don't use my hp mini often, so let me know if this works for you or
not. Also, try it with power managment turned off as well (my earlier
post).

Bests from Prague.
