Ok, sorry I'm late. Yesterday updated to jaunty AMD64, keeping my /home directory, so the user configuration is still the same, same plugins, and so on. Messed up my xorg.conf to force the low graphics mode and the menu showed up. Now all the options involving text editing worked without problem. But my xorg.conf was empty when I opened it, so had to reconfigure it in a different way.(not even a backup). When I selected the option to go to a console, it didn't work, not even to switch manually with CTRL+ALT+F1, had to reset the computer but I think this is another story.
So I think it's indirectly solved in jaunty. -- gedit crashed with SIGSEGV in PyObject_GetAttrString() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/269447 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
