I think I've found a work around to this problem - which may shed some light on why its happening.
I tried to install the Broadcom driver using: sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter b43-fwcutter was already the latest version, on configuring however saw the following error: ...... Setting up b43-fwcutter (1:011-5) ... --2009-03-31 07:09:56-- http://downloads.openwrt.org/sources/wl_apsta-3.130.20.0.o Resolving downloads.openwrt.org... 195.56.146.238 Connecting to downloads.openwrt.org|195.56.146.238|:80... connected. So: I followed the instructions from: http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43 See under: You are using the b43 driver from linux-2.6.25 or newer You probably won't need to make the executable from source. Just download the firmware and it should work fine. ** Attachment added: "installerror.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24561306/installerror.txt -- Wifi Broadcom on 9.04 beta https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/351244 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
