Added your ppa to sources.list and updated various xserver-xorg- video-... drivers.
I will try Driver "radeon" on next reboot. Additional information: Before reading your comment, I've tried removing 2 of 4 gb ram, as decribed here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1076047&page=5 and also followed these instructions: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=5795292&postcount=25 which, together, made the radeon driver boot. Attached is xorg.0.log from that boot. ** Attachment added: "Xorg.0.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24586512/Xorg.0.log -- [Jaunty beta] xorg-video-radeonhd fails with mobility hd3650 on startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352050 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
