Public bug reported: (1) Release
Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) Release: 9.04 (2) Package versions freenx: Installed: 0.7.3+teambzr102-0freenxteam1 Candidate: 0.7.3+teambzr102-0freenxteam1 gnome-panel: Installed: 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu5 Candidate: 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu5 (3) I expect gnome-panel to run through an NX session. (4) Prior to today's updates, the gnome panel displayed and ran without problems through an NX session. After applying today's updates, gnome panel crashes on start with the below error message. This occurs both with the FreeNX packages as well as the NoMachine packages: Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":1000.0". Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":1000.0". Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":1000.0". Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":1000.0". Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":1000.0". The program 'gnome-panel' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'. (Details: serial 134 error_code 1 request_code 150 minor_code 8) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gnome-panel won't start when run through NX session https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/352716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
