Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apport
Not too many packages have them which don't already have apport hooks, but I think there are enough to make it worthwhile. If there is no package-specific apport hook, it could invoke the /usr/share/bug script for the package (if any exists) and attach that data as a single text blob. I think these scripts may run interactively in some cases, though.
