Public bug reported:
Install fails during hardware detect. I've run the installer a number
of times and curiously sometimes, not often, it's successful. It looks
to me to be different problem from #350320.
I've attached /var/log/syslog
I'm guessing that the problem is with pulseaudio, which has never been
happy with my soundcard (M-Audio 2496), but I really have no idea.
