Thank you for taking the time to improve Ubuntu. Ubuntu relies on volunteers to triage bugs, including closing resolved bugs. If you find a bug that really is resolved, you can change the status to reflect it. For more information about bug status, and how you can help, please take a look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BugSquad/KnowledgeBase . You can get fast and knowledgable answers and mentoring about bug triaging on IRC at irc.freenode.net #ubuntu-bugs
In the case of bug 95886, the problem does indeed have an easy workaround, but the bug itself does not appear to be resolved (patched or obviated by a newer version), so it's still a valid bug. Since your issue is more of a bug methodology question than a patchable bug in an Ubuntu package, I'm closing it. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New => Invalid -- Solved bugs are still hanging around as default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350745 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
