Public bug reported: this is a Gateway MA9 laptop. I did a fresh install of the Jaunty Beta, then ran suspend_test --full. the very first time the script tried to suspend the laptop, all that happened was the display showed a text mode screen with a blinking cursor at the top. I waited several minutes, but nothing else happened.
upon reboot, the apport popped up. it refused to log a bug though, saying that I wasn't running an official ubuntu kernel. but I am, i hadn't changed anything on the system at this point. $ cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 2.6.28-11.37-generic I'm going to gather some more info and add it to this bug report in a second.
