The LiveCD boots fine on my A20m and everything-1 works fine running from the LiveCD, including sound. I am able to mount my normal swap and home partitions and use them, as I am doing right now.
The -1 is the installer - it "goes away" after step 4, and never returns. Restarting X (ctrl-alt-backspace) appears to work fine. Refer to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/78298.
