Rather than manually downloading those, I enabled the backports repositories and ran
r...@amaterasu:/etc/apt# apt-get install libstrigihtmlgui0 libstrigiqtdbusclient0 libsearchclient0 libstreamanalyzer0 libstreams0 which completed successfully. I then disabled the backports repositories and retried apt-get install kubuntu-desktop which resulted in the same failure as above.
