I second this. It's confusing for the family because if they get
connection failure for the user that did get the network-manager, they
have no way of reconnecting it when logged in as themselves.

I'm trying to convince the family that this is better than Windows and up until 
now, it has been really good and they're convinced.
OK, whinge over...
