We cannot 'read' the password at any time, it's not saved in plain text (or decryptable anywhere, and that would be a security issue anyway). The thing is that it's just *not* supported to use two applications for dealing with the same (in this context userconfig and passwd) simultaneously. Just don't do that. -- sebas http://www.kde.org | http://vizZzion.org | GPG Key ID: 9119 0EF9 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You know you're brilliant, but maybe you'd like to understand what you did 2 weeks from now. - Linus Torvalds -- user password is not read every time you open an user, results in password overwritten https://launchpad.net/bugs/78374 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
