Vishal, It doesn't look like the new plasmoid will supported PPTP for Jaunty, but I wouldn't let it be a deal-breaker. If you install the package "network-manager-gnome", remove the Network Manager Plasmoid from your desktop, put a link in ~/.kde/Autostart to /usr/bin/nm-applet, then restart KDE, you will be able to run KDE, but will instead have the Gnome network manager applet (complete with PPTP VPN) running in your System Tray. I'd rather use the new Plasmoid, but I may well have to wait for October. Until then, no I'd rather not downgrade to Gnome over one issue.
