Hello, I'm having the same problem I think.

I try to connect to my router, 192.168.1.1 from firefox, it doesn't work.
I try to ping 192.168.1.1, it doesn't work
Both with wired, and wireless.
I can ping google.ca

jus...@defacto:~$ ping 192.168.1.1
PING 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
>From 192.168.1.100 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable
>From 192.168.1.100 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
>From 192.168.1.100 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable
^C
--- 192.168.1.1 ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 0 received, +3 errors, 100% packet loss, time 3013ms
, pipe 3

In gnome-panel, I click on nm-applet and under wired, it says: device
not managed.

I know my hardware isn't broken since I tried a Hardy LiveCD with both
wired, and wireless.
