If it was the case, then it wouldn't work with KDE. But the Mic works with KDE!!! It just doesn't work with skype! The mic is unmuted and the volume is high! Probably is just a problem with amd64??? I'm not sure, I'm using amd64 Kubuntu Jaunty.
